I passed the "free kittens" sign several times, it being on the road to Weld, and I have been taking the number 6 road home for weeks now (from Farmington) since it avoids Dixfield altogether. So I see the sign, not once, not twice, but four times. Finally, coming home from Bar Harbor, I stopped.
Kitten was in a heap with her sisters in the barn. She was the largest, the fluffiest. Her mama was long haired, fluffy, and a deep chocolate/auburn color. I picked this one because she looked like her mama.
Her name is Serena after Serena Williams. (I was watching Wimbledon). She's noisy and furry and Frida doesn't like her.
Sigh. It's work having a kitten. I miss Cristina. But this morning, after taking Serena out of her temporary room (the bathroom has litter, food, milk, water), she was delightful to cuddle with and she became curious and less scared of the whole scene. Frida boxed her around. Tim Sim was at the house when I got home with the kitty and he declared her a "little biscuit".

Daisy doesn't really like Tippy either...Tippy is always chasing her tail as Daisy does her fair share of swiping and growling. Kittens do take work, but each day they make gains. Enjoy Serena. (That was quite a match, huh?)
